KEY INSIGHT

  • Strategy acquired 1,550 BTC for approximately $101 million.

  • Total Bitcoin holdings have increased to 845,256 BTC.

  • The company also raised its USD Reserve by $100 million, bringing total cash reserves to $1 billion.

Strategy, the Bitcoin treasury company led by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, has acquired an additional 1,550 Bitcoin for approximately $101 million, further strengthening its position as the world’s largest corporate holder of the digital asset.

The latest purchase increases Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 845,256 BTC, extending a multi-year accumulation strategy that has transformed the company into one of the most prominent institutional investors in Bitcoin.

Alongside the acquisition, Strategy announced that it has increased its USD Reserve by $100 million, bringing its total cash reserve to approximately $1 billion. The move provides the company with additional financial flexibility while maintaining its aggressive Bitcoin accumulation strategy.

Strategy funds many of its Bitcoin purchases through a combination of equity offerings and its preferred stock programs, including MSTR and STRC. These financing vehicles have enabled the company to continue expanding its Bitcoin reserves without relying solely on operating cash flow.

At current market prices, Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings are worth tens of billions of dollars, giving the company exposure to nearly 4% of Bitcoin’s maximum 21 million coin supply.

The latest purchase reinforces Michael Saylor’s long-standing view that Bitcoin represents the most effective long-term store of value and treasury reserve asset available to corporations. Since adopting its Bitcoin strategy in 2020, Strategy has become a benchmark for public companies seeking exposure to digital assets.

The announcement arrives as institutional demand for Bitcoin continues to grow through spot ETFs, corporate treasury strategies, and increasing adoption among traditional financial institutions.
